Drama In Kaurismäki's drolly existential crime drama, a coal miner named Taisto must find a way to live in the big city after the mine closes and his father, also a miner, commits suicide. This is the second film in Kaurismäki's "proletarian trilogy" (Shadows in Paradise, Ariel, and The Match Factory Girl).
