"Ji-woon Kim may be the Korean David Lynch and his juxtaposition of seemingly innocent and suddenly searing situations is marvelously unnerving"
United States

"We aren't meant to understand the story fully until the film's closing minutes, so the shocks and suggestions come in a muddled context."

"Though pic is at heart an old-fashioned scarefest (...) it manages to suspend disbelief without over-taxing the viewer’s patience"

"A tour de force of psychological horror at its creepiest."
United States

"Although A Tale of Two Sisters has some excellent suspense sequences, it falters badly during the dramatic parts."
