Sugihara is a second-generation Korean immigrant in Japan. He is torn between two cultures and does not feel at home in either. Sugihara’s life is marked by violence, and his brutal father taught him boxing at an early age. When Sugihara meets the Japanese girl Sakurai he falls in love, and she becomes his first girlfriend. Gradually Sugihara gets to know himself and to stand up for himself.
