"As a battle of wits between two endlessly entertaining characters, over the nature of horror movies and scary stories no less, 'Scare Me' feels like a spooky, cozy warm blanket worth cuddling up to by the fire (…) Rating: ★★★½ (out of 5)"  POS

"A cramped setting, an onslaught of clever dialogue and a twisty plot go a long way in 'Scare Me', an impressive little movie from writer/director Josh Ruben"  POS

"While 'Scare Me' doesn’t completely succeed as an homage or satire of the pained white male horror writer, Ruben doesn’t fail either. 'Scare Me' wins, by the screech of its teeth."  POS

"It goes on too long and ends up pretty much where you'd expect, but this playfully scary film is still great fun most of the time, with energetic comedic performances and clever sound and camerawork"  NEU

"This clever horror comedy runs out of chills too soon (...) [It] boasts strong performances from the filmmaker and co-star Aya Cash, but its padded running time does it no favors."  NEU
