Helped by her nephew, Koji, Etsuko runs a lovely little seaside café where the locals like to gather, gossip and drink her delicious coffee. People with problems are somehow attracted to the café, and by meeting Etsuko their lives begin to change. Winner of the Special Grand Prix at the Montreal World Film Festival, this is a gentle, humorous film about love, loss, friendship and community.
