When a Las Vegas hustler falls in love at first sight with a beautiful British aristocrat on holiday, he follows her back to England, where he learns that she's a student at Oxford University. Intent on winning her heart despite their obvious differences, he gains admission to the prestigious college with the help of a computer hacker. His arrogant, obnoxious manner immediately alienates everyone except fellow American expatriate Rona, who becomes his only friend.
