About this movie

This chilling horror tale follows three college students on an ill-fated weekend getaway. After finding what seems to be evidence of murder, the kids disappear, leaving behind a video camera. Thinking the students’ footage may help solve the kidnapping of a teenage girl, the police uncover even greater terror. Starring Johanna Braddy (TV's "Quantico"), Lili Mirojnick (CLOVERFIELD), and Chris Mulkey (TV's "Twin Peaks"), THE LEVENGER TAPES reveals the evil that lurks in the darkest of places.

Well...... I'm still asking myself what the heck did I just watch? I have no clue what the plot is supposed to be about. Missing girl? Fallen priest? Three friends being stupid? Burial grounds? Take your pick, all wind their way through this movie. I jumped maybe 3 times during the movie due to jump scares, if you watch it you will know all 3 times. The cast....oh the cast....the only name I remember while writing this review is Amanda (the blonde) so, i'll start with her. They made her have too much of a bleeding heart. I mean really, first thing she wants to do after the guy they are with steals a bottle of booze is go back to make sure the car she hit in the parking lot is okay. Next moronic idea is while in the woods in the dark, alone with her friend (the brunette) she hears a woman in pain. So, she wants to go deeper into the woods to help her. Moves like these normally get you killed off early in movies but..... make your own mind up. If it intrigues you, rent it, if not, don't.

I don't really understand what happened in this film but the " final girl " was good throughout the movie and there were some genuinely creepy parts. Overall, it doesn't make sense to me but the girls are so hot it didn't matter.

The movie, I felt like, tried too hard to intertwine these two plot lines and got lost in this heap of garbage that turned out to be this movie. I felt as if the movie was more so a very long drawn out shot that attempted to be scary but ended up disappointing. Nothing made any sense at all really. Who was the lady that supposedly tried to kill the three main characters and what was the point of adding the sub plot of the setting being an ancient Native American burial ground? Awful movie.
