King of the Mountain

The obsession with racing is strong in the lives of three young friends, Steve, Buddy and Roger. They share a house nearby in Laurel Canyon, where their relaxed lifestyle includes jam sessions, parties, beautiful girls, beer, and racing Mulholland. Observing, resenting and envying their lives, Cal a forty-year-old spaced-out boozer, who watches them race and relives in his mind the days when he was "King of the Mountain." Now that title belongs to Steve, but Cal fantasizes that one day he will depose the young racer and reclaim his glory.
