- Synopsis
- Louis Feuillade's THE OBSESSION tackles the ruse of palm-reading, a topic of pseudo-science rarely covered at the time. It addresses the harm that obsessive belief in the paranormal can have for susceptible individuals. While the short shares a number of traits with other Feuillade films, the most direct thread (and the one most likely to go unrecognized) is actor René Navarre. He plays the husband here but you might recognize him as master-criminal Fantômas.
