- Synopsis
- A War in Hollywood offers an in-depth look at the impact that the Spanish Civil War and the Franco dictatorship had on the North American film industry at the time, through the testimony of personalities such as Susan Sarandon. The film revolves around the story of the scriptwriter from New York, Alvah Bessie, who fought in Spain as a member of the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War.
