- Synopsis
- An animated film modeling Leopold Chauveau’s fantasy ‘Histoire du Vieux Crocodile’. Chauveau’s unique sarcasm sharply chisels in closer on the question of love and power, especially in this chaotic world of now. Truthfully following Chauveau’s illustration, every scene is simple and stoiccally depicted by mostly monochromatic lines and paint fields.
Directed and animated by Academy award nominated artist Koji Yamamura, and voiced by Peter Barakan’s kind and cool narration, this film is finished as a long-lasting work, letting the audience laugh, sometimes weep, sense a subtle nuances of feeling, and always want to come back to see again.
