- In his latest film the Japanese master Hirokazu Koreeda takes a close look at the world of childhood to tell the story of Koichi, a child who lives with his mother and grandparents in Kagoshima, in the South of the island of Kyushu. His little brother, Ryunosuke, lives with their father in Hakata, in the north of Kyushu. Their parents’ divorce has split them up, but all Koichi wants is to get back together with him. When he finds out that a new bullet train will be linking up the two cities, he starts to believe in a miracle.
