- Synopsis
- Paul Samaïl is 27. His grandfather gave his life for France, his father works for the railroad ·a modest and unassuming man, "integrated" in society. Paul is into boxing, reading, an angry young man... He's madly fond of Daniel, his "kid brother," who, perhaps a little frailer than him, is certainly more rebellious, struggling with his identity as a young North African born in France... He's madly in love with Myriam, his princess. Mad about literature, Paul did very well at his studies but doesn't have a job worthy of the name. He lives in the Barb? district of Paris, waiting. In the meantime, he delivers pizzas. But what is he waiting for? Only words can release him from his feelings of hate and self-contempt, and the first words of the novel that will help him to live his life are "Life Kills Me."
