- Synopsis
- Don Juan Alcántara (Paco Martínez Soria), who went from being a village apothecary to becoming a financier, is ruined. He does not dare to confess it to his family, since the unanimous opinion of those who know him is that he is a henpecked man. His lack of character is remedied by his doctor, who gives him a supposed medication to reinforce his personality so that everyone obeys him. But behind it there is a double deception, because the family believes that Juan suffers from a crisis of madness and that if he is contradicted he may even commit homicide. And all this just when the engagement of Juan's daughter to her fiancé from a good family is about to be formalized.
