- Synopsis
- Wilbur Whateley, a mysterious young man from Dunwich, presents himself to Dr. Armitage to let him have a look at the Necronomicon, a valuable book believed to be the gateway to another dimension. Wilbur exerts a powerful influence on Nancy, a friend of the doctor's, whom he invites to his home. She tells him that her great-grandfather believed in rites to summon beings more powerful than humans, from an earlier state, and that he was hanged in the town square for it. Dr. Armitage is suspicious of Wilbur and what he might do to Nancy and begins to investigate on his own. (FILMAFFINITY)
