- Synopsis
- “Greener” is a twisted portrait of two creatures safely, yet smotheringly, confined inside a complex support system of their own creation. One character eerily controls the static comfort of the situation, while the other innocently follows his instincts to discover what lays outside their sheltered existence. This bizarre and darkly humorous film is in essence an animated search for the self, journeying from one medium to the next. It has been described as “…an outrageous combination of clay, metal mechanisms, 2-d animation and provocative 1984-esque dialogue.”
Greener was shot on 16mm film and completed in February of 1994, three years after Happy Product Inc’s human factory worker MARK OSBORNE© began creating the short film while a student at CalArts.
