- Synopsis
- Chazz, Rex, and Pip are a band known as The Lone Rangers, a Heavy metal trio that haven't had much luck getting their songs heard. During their last desperate trip to a radio station they bring along some genuine looking water pistols and spontaneously pull them out when they're turned down again. One of the workers at the station escapes being taken hostage and calls the police, and a long standoff ensues until the Rangers can play their tape, which the lead singer gave to his now ex-girlfriend.
- Critics' reviews
-
-
"It's the smartest stupid movie of the summer"
-
"Although it's more concerned with justifying its title than with making contact with any real subversiveness, criminal or cultural, Airheads is the kind of sweet fluff it's easy to say yes to in August."
-
"Like a lot of youth comedies, it's frenetic where it should be inspired."
-
"The idea has anarchic possibilities, but the film itself is awfully tame."
