Synopsis

A look at the predicament of the working poor who live in the subsidized housing that makes up much of Paris' suburbs. The film follows the trials and struggles of one 27-year-old Frenchman in particular, Pierre Cephas, a soon-to-be-father who's just been laid off from his job at a machine shop.
