- A look at the life of influential musician Joe Strummer - before, during, and after his time with the british punk rock band The Clash. A portrait of the life and works of Strummer from an impressive compilation of material from conversations and interviews, through live footage, some never seen before, or the recovery of the original tapes of his BBC radio programme. All this footage to show a natural musician, the seminal genius who created The Clash, went beyond his time with The Mescaleros and who still is, after his death, the biggest influence in punk-rock. And behind the myth, the man. The boy who was born John Mellor in Turkey and who was just as vital as he was self-destructive, as rebellious as contradictory, passionate, messianic.
