- Synopsis
- Set during the Vietnam War in 1968 the story revolves around a sixteen-year old girl who is a hapa and living in Okinawa. She works at a restaurant which caters to the hordes of American GIs as customer. There she meets a guy who is the leader of a local rock band one day. They go steady. She joins a band with him and begin making music together. Their lives begin to change as Okinawa transitions back to partial Japanese control and the band makes progress. The film is based on the life of singer Marie Kyan of Marie With Medusa.
