- Synopsis
- Director Isao Takahata, a mentor to Hayao Miyazaki and the person who understands him best, gives us insights into Miyazaki.s creative genius by taking us on a tour of the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo, designed by Miyazaki himself. The museum is a fantasy world very much like the ones Miyazaki creates in his movies. We are taken through the interior, and shown night and aerial views of the museum. In addition, we see many vistas of Genoa and the medieval mountain cities of Italy that influenced Miyazaki when he visited them. This film is an excellent way to gain a greater appreciation of Miyazaki.s works.
