Synopsis
Madrid, 1933, After murdering her daughter Hildegart, Aurora Rodriguez turns herself in to justice. In prison, she recalls the circumstances that moved her to commit such a heinous crime. In her early childhood Aurora, witness to frequent marital disagreements and the unquestionable subordination of women to men, conceived the idea of having a daughter whom she would educate so that she would devote herself to fight for the liberation of women. She looked for a healthy, intelligent man who would agree to renounce the paternity of the girl. Hildegart turned out to be just as her mother had imagined her: when she was almost a child she joined the Socialist Party, at the age of 16, after finishing her law degree, she started medicine, and was already writing articles and books. At 18 she was already very popular in intellectual and revolutionary circles. And at that age, one early morning, her mother killed her.
