"Geefwee Boedoe's hand-drawn educational film spoof "Let's Pollute" takes aim — if a little too easily — at our wasteful environmental ways." 

"Let's Pollute" is a wonderful-to-watch but almost tediously unfunny indictment of wasteful American consumerism. With tongue stuck a bit too firmly in cheek, the pic's Jonathan Swift-worthy satire heavy-handedly proposes that auds waste more -- "After all, pollution is our heritage and keeps our economy going strong!" -- but entertains with creative visuals along the way.  

"This satirical, sarcastic spin on 1950s instructional films is presented as a guide to pollution, waste and environmental destruction. It feels like an animated aside you’d find in a Michael Moore or Morgan Spurlock movie, and filmmaker Geefwee Boedoe, a former Disney and Pixar animator, hammers his one joke into the ground. But it’s also lively, attractively animated and features a perfect voiceover from narrator Jim Thornton. Still, a six minute short shouldn’t feel overlong. This one does." 

"Consumerism is also the target of Geefwee Boedoe’s “Let’s Pollute,” which uses the simple drawings and peppy didacticism of ’60s and ’70s vintage educational films to instruct youngsters in the ways of waste. Its satirical intentions are similar to those of “Logorama,” last year’s winner in this category, but “Let’s Pollute” never moves beyond simple sarcasm, which amplifies its message but hardly sharpens it."
