Synopsis: Director Ethan Hawke explores the life and lessons of octogenarian classical musical guru an piano teacher Seymour Bernstein. Movie star Hawke met Bernstein at a dinner party. They struck up a relationship that resulted in this documentary. After receiving numerous musical awards and grants, Bernstein gave his final public performance in 1977 at age 50. For nearly 40 years he has been composing, writing, and, most importantly, teaching. He is a great music teacher.
