- Synopsis
- Documentary (2023). 4 episodes. Four-part documentary series that tells the fascinating story of the most famous poltergeist of all time. In 1977, the terrifying haunting of a working-class family in Enfield, London, dominated headlines across the UK and had a tremendous impact on an entire generation of children. The mysterious case forever changed ideas about the supernatural, which was no longer limited to castles and mansions, but could be experienced by anyone, anywhere. Over the course of four episodes, the events at Enfield are reconstructed using the actual audio recordings captured by Maurice Grosse, a paranormal investigator who archived all of his interviews with those affected by the phenomenon. Building a replica of the house where the incidents occurred, a group of actors recreate what is heard on the actual tapes, interacting with the archival voices. The series also features appearances by the real protagonists of the incident through actual interviews.
