Synopsis

Final instalment in Marcel Pagnol’s famous trilogy set in Marseille, la trilogie marseillaise -Marius (1931), Fanny (1932) and César (1936)-. César was the only film in the trilogy to be made on film before being performed on stage, and it was also the only one to be directed by Pagnol himself.
