Synopsis

A teenage country boy starts working in a restaurant of the famous Pacific Hotel in the 1930s. He soon discovers that to get promoted one needs to conform and sacrifice his dignity. Acid comedy that portrays the history of a luxury restaurant, where the hierarchy and discipline of the staff is as subtle and complex as the most convoluted military organization, while reviewing much of the history of Poland during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
