- TV Miniseries (9 Episodes). Year 1992. A recently widowed, impoverished Orlando water park employee schemes and cons her way up the ranks of the multi-billion dollar pyramid scheme which ruined her financially in the first place. A dark comedy with Kirsten Dunst as Krystal Gill, a minimum-wage-earning water park employee who will eventually scheme her way up the ranks of Founders American Merchandise: a cult-like pyramid scheme run by a powerful man named Obie Garbeau II (Ted Levine). The same cultish, flag waving, multi-billion dollar pyramid scheme that drove her family to ruin.
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos was originally set to direct the series, but the Greek filmmaker is no longer involved.
