- Synopsis
- The year 1983. The new French government of François Mitterrand announces the largest architectural competition in history. Coveted by all the major international firms, the winner is, surprisingly, an absolute unknown: Johan Otto von Spreckelsen, a professor of architecture from Copenhagen. Until then, this fifty-year-old Dane had only built four buildings: his house and three small chapels. Overnight, 'Spreck' becomes the center of attention. More importantly, he will lead a colossal project with enormous political and economic expectations: the construction of the Arc de la Défense in Paris.
