Synopsis

A former missionary in Africa, Giuseppe works in a small diocese in Roma, but asks the Bishop if he can be transferred to a small town in near Naples. He takes the place of the local parish priest, Don Antonio, a man of great charisma who is listened to and respected by all because he’s waging a war on the illegal burial of toxic waste. Don Antonio introduces Giuseppe to the harsh reality of the local area and once he’s left on his own, the priest sets about helping the community, but finds himself facing up to a truth that puts his back against the wall.
