- Synopsis
- Equatorial Guinea became independent from Spain 50 years ago and has now become one of the most isolated countries in Africa. We enter it in the company of the most translated writer in the country, Juan Tomás Ávila Laurel, who in 2011 had to take refuge in Spain for denouncing the dictatorship of Teodoro Obiang, the oldest in the world. Through his books we discover a corner of Africa that still lives under the impact of two centuries of colonial domination.
