This was not scary at all. There's one scene that's scary and the rest is all drama.
Very good movie. Great acting and some good old fashioned voodoo.
I will say there are a total of 3 descent "scary" scenes but over all it was OK...
I found this to be an interesting reversal of horror movie expectations. The women in this movie all have depth to them, while the men are all one-dimensional plot devices. There's nothing wrong with that, certainly, as it's usually the other way around. The ending subverts expectations in a way that I haven't seen a horror film do in a long time. Strongly recommend!
