"Predictable (...) But it's the kind of plush, pleasurable comfort viewing that goes down as easily as a favorite artist's hits compilation."
United States
New York Post
"The film’s one twist is as predictable as 'The Macarena' (...) Still, The High Note' makes you feel good, in parts (...) Rating: ★★ (sobre 4)"

The New York Times
"A movie that can’t decide if it’s a musical reworking of 'The Devil Wears Prada,' an underdog romantic comedy or a feminist arrow to the heart of the entertainment industry."
United States
Chicago Sun-Times
"Directed with a breezy, fast-paced style by Nisha Ganatra and featuring a strong script by Flora Greeson, 'The High Note' is an old-fashioned Hollywood story about dreamers and stars (...) Rating: ★★★½ (out of 4)"

"Johnson has never been more charming (...) Ganatra is smart to keep the focus on a young woman trying to make her mark and an established woman trying to stay relevant."
