FilmAffinity | “Bocadillo” [Sandwich] is a movie written and directed by one of the most popular Spanish YouTube celebrities, Ismael Prego, known online as “Wismichu”. The film premiered at the 51th Sitges International Film Festival on October, 2018. It was initially announced as a 90 min feature with a €1 million budget, but after its first run it was widely suspected to be a “mockumentary" about the 2019 film "Vosotros sois mi película". “Bocadillo” raised a great stir upon Sitges audience for its reprised content, since it’s mainly based on the same shot on loop being performed by different actors with a lack of a so-called narrative. It was released on several streaming platforms after its premiere (both Spanish’s “Filmin” and Prego’s own YouTube channel), were it registered more than half a million views in less than 24h. | DIS |
