Documentary Following on the heels of his 2004 Palm d'Or for Fahrenheit 9/11 and his Oscar® winning film Bowling for Columbine, acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore’s new documentary sets out to investigate the American healthcare system. Sticking to his tried-and-true one-man approach, Moore sheds light on the complicated medical affairs of individuals and local communities. Sicko promises to be every bit as indicting as Moore’s previous films.

"Sicko will scare people, and it probably should. (...) Moore documents a corrupt and scandalous situation (...) No one should consider 'Sicko' the last word on the health care issue, but it just might spark the demand for a genuine, honest discussion." POS

"Moore is onscreen less, not so cocky, not going for so many laughs. He simply tells one story after another about Americans who are sick, dying or dead because we have an undemocratic, profit-gouging health care system (...) Rating: ★★★½ (out of 4)"  POS

"'Sicko' is the least controversial and most broadly appealing of Mr. Moore’s movies. (It is also, perhaps improbably, the funniest and the most tightly edited)"  POS

"It's not impossible that this bitterly funny, bitterly sad call to alms could move reform back up the political agenda. For that reason alone, you owe it to yourself to see this movie."  POS
