- Synopsis
- The second film adaptation of the 1929 novel by Romulo Gallegos, Dona Barbara tells of a dramatic confrontation over land and civil rights, notable for its passionate characterizations. A young lawyer, Luzardo (Jorge Perugorria) returns to his family's ranch with the intention of selling it. However, his family's secrets refuse to remain in the past, and an encounter with the reputed witch Dona Barbara soon draws him into a game of seduction.
