- Synopsis
- Julia Santos and Pablo Montero grew up together in a small town among the cane fields of Veracruz until a tragic accident kills Julia's mother, Margarita, and Pablo's father, Amador, raising suspicions that they were going to run away together. Twisted by the apparent betrayal, Josefina, Pablo's mother, forbids him to see Julia and sends him away. She takes care of blackening not only Margarita's reputation but also that of Julia. Twelve years later, Pablo returns home to introduce his fiancée, a material and superficial young woman. An encounter with his childhood friend leaves him dumbstruck: Julia has become a beautiful, rebellious woman, but with a very bad reputation. Despite this, very adult feelings surge between them, but to be together they must battle the lies and hatreds that have torn their families apart for a generation. (FILMAFFINITY)
