- Synopsis
- Korea: the Unfinished War looks at the war which ended with a cease-fire but without a peace treaty. Huge armies still face each other across a forbidding no-man’s land. It was the first war in the era of the Atomic Bomb and this documentary series looks at persistent North Korean charges that the United States attempted biological warfare to devastate people without harming property. The filmmaker received rare permission to visit North Korea to pursue the story. We meet Canadian and American veterans who relive their experiences as well as Koreans whose country was devastated in what has been called “the first Viet Nam.” Dramatic and moving episodes from the war are re-enacted.
