Synopsis

After being arrested during the 1848-49 Hungarian Revolution for being a member of the resistance, Ferenc, a former soldier, is implicated as a member of the resistance and arrested. After being moved from prison to a mental hospital, he writes an open letter to the emperor and immolates himself in protes
