Synopsis

A disfigured, homeless woman (Leticia Palma) is taken in by a kindly, romantic nightclub pianist (Luis Beristáin) who helps her regain her dignity and heal herself. But just as she seems on the brink of success and happiness, her past catches up with her, and she soon finds herself held captive by a gangster (Antonio Badú). Set in the nightlife of Mexico, here is another cine negro/cabaretera melodrama, the first of three collaborations between director Miguel Morayta and actress Leticia Palma.
