And where two lonely strangers stood trapped within the past, Stanley and Iris can now begin a new chapter of their lives - together.
- Critics' reviews
-
-
"The elements are in place but they don't add up to great drama in this well-meant effort to personalize the plight of illiterate people."
Variety Staff: Variety
-
-
"Although the construction is somewhat haphazard, the intention is well meaning and DeNiro gives a characteristically sensitive rendering."
Angie Errigo: Empire
