- A hermit living in the Washington Mountains stumbles upon a boy who has been kidnapped. He does everything in his power to save the boy but he becomes a suspect. Meanwhile the boy's mother who's estranged from her rich father accepts his help with the ransom money. When it's left the weather allows the kidnapper to collect it without detection and another ransom note is posted asking for much more money. The hermit then teams up with the mother to find her son if they can before he's killed.
