Drama Louis Feuillade's THE OBSESSION tackles the ruse of palm-reading, a topic of pseudo-science rarely covered at the time. It addresses the harm that obsessive belief in the paranormal can have for susceptible individuals. While the short shares a number of traits with other Feuillade films, the most direct thread (and the one most likely to go unrecognized) is actor René Navarre.
