Few old cinemas are still standing. Like them, the former workers of these establishments have aged. Many of them, in the wake of the cinema closures, have become unemployed and have been forced to learn a different trade. So many years of working in a cinema creates lasting memories, and the various trades of the people who worked in these cinemas are unknown to many.

The project documents the role that each of these people played in a cinema. Some of the workers narrate the struggles of an administrator to open a cinema business and the entire construction process of a cinema, from the first brick to the eventual demolition to make way for the construction of a crude hotel. Later, a projectionist explaining in detail how a 35mm projector works speaks to us from a small, old-fashioned projection booth. At times, a former painter designer creates the poster for the same documentary in which he appears. They all form part of an invaluable testimony documenting a stage in the history of Peruvian cinemas that will never return.
