This is a better Star Trek than the new Star Trek.... The show has already tackled a difficult social issue in a way that made no one comfortable in the resolution. This used to be an important mark of a good science fiction story.. but pandering to political groups has killed creativity lately. It can't be understated how brave writing like that really is. I thought it gone on network TV. I'll be sure to watch live or via PVR every week. Excellent job.

Seth McFarland is a genius. Making a new sci-fi show that has everything it needs to be successful is not easy but I, oops, I mean Seth makes it look easy. Like every other show and movie he has done ( Cleveland show..not so much ) has been a huge hit. The casts he puts together are just another part of my...oops, i mean " his " genius and I look forward to more movies and projects from him.

To me, The Orville brings back such a love to Science Fiction and a real hope that we will see a new franchise rise to the top! The Orville really feels like what a "Star Trek" like existence would really be like today. All of today's problems, hopes, personal issues, different types of personalities and different types of relationships and cultures just working together and RESPECTING one another while challenging each other at the same time. These last 10 years have seen people so afraid to even acknowledge other people for being different and now people are so afraid to live and interact with others it's nuts! Watch an episode on streaming service for free, check it out for yourself. If you liked Next Gen I think you will LOVE The Orville! Personally I'm making a choice right now to buy the Season and support it because I have been watching it for free and I really want to support this series. Have fun :D
