Nelson Eddy stars as a Czarist prince who falls in love with a cafe singer in the days just before the Russian Revolution. The prince masquerades as a poor worker to woo the singer and secretly arranges for her audition at the Imperial opera. But the two lovers are torn apart by the Revolution ... only to be reunited years later as émigrés in Paris.
