Enjoyable, campy, good tension in the first act but the pacing really falls apart in the second. The heavy metal lean was really appreciated, I wish the music got more airtime but it's cool to see "normal" metalheads in a movie. The cast were all pretty likeable too.

The first half hour of the movie was enough for me to write these comments. Firstly, if I can find many common points or benefits in a horror movie, or it doesn't have to be just a horror movie, in other types of films, I am particularly captivated by such films. Therefore, I cannot be objective while criticizing the movie. I have two adorable daughters, and both are heavy metal lovers because I am a heavy metal enthusiast and also a digital artist. I engage in digital art and also dabble in other forms of art like oil and acrylic painting. I try to send my daughters to painting classes and courses as much as possible. They both paint beautifully. We paint together using our iPad or just a regular canvas, and we sketch with paper and pencil. In this film, the themes of art, family, and a very sweet girl (by the way, the girl who plays the role looks like a young Courtney Love, very cute) really appeal to me. I really enjoyed the overall plot of the film. The amalgamation of savagery, the devil, and darkness with heavy metal was really to my liking. Whenever I hear heavy metal or other metal genres in the background of a fictional film, I get really excited. I enjoy watching such narrative films. The movie had great songs and excellent sound editing. I really liked the movie. The reason I liked the movie is because of these shared traits I described. Otherwise, it's not a particularly outstanding film, but I still enjoyed it; it was fun.

As soon as I was done streaming, I ordered the Bluray! It’s definitely a must see for horror fans!
