- Synopsis
- The concept of fabricating faith and attempting to find solace in the face of the ultimate mystery are the central themes of this film concerning a man exalted to sainthood after performing a miracle on his deceased mother, who had recently committed suicide. Santinho lives in a riverine community located in the northern Amazonas state. Upon being faced with a son's worst nightmare, he does something that takes his entire sect by complete surprise, and causes them to single him out as a glorified soul.
