An Australian animated film based on the novel by John Gardiner. Completed in 1980 by Alexander Stitt, (award-winning creator of the iconic Life. Be In It and Slip, Slop, Slap campaigns), this cult tale is a part re-telling of the epic poem Beowulf, told from the perspective of the great monster, Grendel. Revisionist in part, it presents the other side of the story - the tale of a contemplative monster desperate to find meaning in life.
