Synopsis

A group of young musicians and dancers prepare at a New York academy to one day make it in the competitive world of show business. The story follows four students in particular from the moment they audition to enter the school until their graduation: the cheeky Coco Hernandez, the shy jewish Doris Finsecker, the sensitive gay Montgomery MacNeil and the impulsive Raul Garcia. "Fame" was a huge box-office hit, spawning a famous TV series.
